5 خطرات جو پاکستانیوں کو Crypto Market میں avoid کرنا چاہیں

Universal mistakes (FOMO, leverage) exist everywhere. لیکن پاکستانیوں کے لیے 5 specific pitfalls ہیں.

Pitfall 1: SBP Blocks Crypto

State Bank of Pakistan blocked crypto exchanges in 2022. Banks can block Easypaisa/JazzCash to exchanges.

Solution:

Pitfall 3: Coinbase No PKR

“Safe” exchange but no Pakistani Rupee:

• Deposit: wire $25 + 3-5 days
• Buy USD: 2-3% spread at bank
• Coinbase fee: 1.5%
• Total: 4-6% vs Gate.io Easypaisa 0.7-1.2%

Rule: no PKR/Easypaisa = not for Pakistanis.

Pitfall 4: Phishing Urdu/Hindi

Scammers create phishing in Urdu/Hindi:

• “Gate.io Pakistan — verify your account” (fake link)
• “Easypaisa promo: ₨500 free” (WhatsApp scam)
• Sites similar Gate.io but URL different (gate-io.com vs gate.io)

Prevention:

• Anti-phishing code on Gate.io
• Always verify URL: gate.io
• 2FA Google Auth (NOT SMS)
• Never click email/WhatsApp links

Pitfall 5: FBR Tax Declaration

FBR expects:

• Crypto gains declared as income
• Not declare → penalty + audit risk
• Need records of all transactions

Solution:

• Record all transactions (date, PKR value, type)
• Declare crypto gains in tax return
• If gains < threshold → declare as “other income”
• Consult tax advisor if > ₨500,000 crypto
